Code of Etiquette
Wharton Park Golf Club is a high quality 18-hole golf course, situated within and surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside. You will find that our facilities are extensive and of a high standard, but above all you will find a warm welcome and real emphasis on good hospitality. We want your day to be a complete success and to that end, we ask you to ensure that our code of etiquette is observed to enhance everyone’s enjoyment.
Slow Play
The maximum time for 18 holes should take about 4 hours 10 minutes, even for higher handicappers. There are some basic principles that can be followed to eliminate slow play and our Professional staff will be very happy to offer advice. If a problem does arise on the course, we ask that you co-operate with us to resolve it.
General
If you are approached by anyone on the course, please do not get involved in a disagreement and if appropriate report the issue to the management on your return to the Clubhouse.
Language
Everybody “curses” in their own way when things are not going well, we ask that you show self control and be aware of anyone around you that may be offended.
Soft Spikes
Soft Spikes must be fitted to golf shoes between 1st April and 30th September.
These are available in the Pro-Shop if required.
Divots &Pitch Marks
Please ensure that you carry and use a pitch mark repairer and replace all divots.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not allowed either on the Course or within the Bar &Patio areas.
Dress Code
On the Course
Appropriate golfing footwear - Shirts with sleeves and collars - Tailored shorts with socks.
In the Clubhouse
Smart or Smart casual.
Not permitted at any time
Jeans, Tracksuits, Denim, Beachwear, Trainers, T Shirts &Football Shirts.
