Message from the General Manager

GM Carlie

I am now entering my fourth month as General Manager at Wharton Park and can say it’s been a challenging but exciting first few months. Thank you to all the members who continue to support my journey, your feedback and ideas are most welcome.

The changes to the clubhouse and course have begun with the Lounge bar’s refurbishment and new beers on tap. T’s on 2nd and 7th complete and the fairways have been verti-drained. Further works to follow including the driving range, restaurant paint work and function room carpet.

With the changing of the clocks upon us, we will be moving to winter club house times. Please note a message will be put up on the members notice board so please take a look. This will include a late Thursday night range and clubhouse opening where Matthew will be doing a range food specials. I am sure this is a great opportunity to practice your technique and meet our new pro Jamie.

In other news, our events over the last month have been a huge success both golf and function based. For golf we had the Woody Bowl a great supported members event, Congratulations to Tony Marchant for 1st place, Albert Grant 2nd and Stuart Manser for 3rd.  On the functions side we have our highly entertaining Fawlty Towers evening which was a huge success, a great job for the staff and catering team for a night of fun and laughter!
